woohoo, undefeated in softball

It all started out with a 3 run first inning with great hits by the girls.. followed up with a 9 run third completed with a double by me!, hits by Justin and near grandslam by Andy.. Finished it in the 5th with a nice 13-2 victory.. Flawless defense, girls hitting just as good as the boys, and we put together a great win!! To celebrate we will all be heading to the Turtle sat., but its near graduation so we are all going out more..

Teachering going good, managed to plan first 2 weeks of the unit for high school.. cold war, not too boring.. My HOCO interview is tomorrow, and I have people in MOCO calling me which is nice. Hope to make a decision soon, see what HOCO has to say before I think about some other counties around the area... I have offers in some of the higher paying areas, but they are not the most desired areas by people, even though they pay more then MOCO/HOCO.. Actually HOCO doesnt pay too much compared to many of the surrounding counties, but it comes down to school preference and location.. Hope to figure all this out soon so I can figure out where to live and who to live with.. Lisa is prob coming back to Balty, and some of the interns and myself have been talking about living so we shall see!! Hopefully some college peoples stay nearby!

Still on a spring break hangover, great weather here doesnt hurt..

First Softball..

Game cancelled, going to probably rescheduled for next Sunday.. The game is tomorrow night at 8, get there by 7:00.. I will be there earlier then that.. we are on the end of Burdick away from the parking garage.. Bring an extra glove if you have one..

Spring Break!

Pam, Emily, Rachel and I traveled to Myrtle Beach on Wed for a few days in the sun.. minus the sun :).. The weather was great, mid 70s, just not a ton of sun but that wasnt a bother.. The first night there we chilled at the resort... It was a super nice place on the beach, 3 restaurants, band playing all the time, 2 pools, lazy river, 2 hot tubs.. Decks where they serve you all the time.. very nice place.. we ended up just stayin in and relaxin that night as we were tired from getting up so early..

Thurday night we enjoyed the day then hit up Broadway at the beach at night.. Nice to see the bars/clubs open past 1:30.. Friday did the same thing, though Bonner and I hit up the bars while Pam and Rachel enjoy the Canadians/Golfers :).. Overall a great weekend not to be forgotten

Back to teaching, I have my HOCO interview this Thursday and have to start deciding where to work.. I came back home to offers from a few counties with contracts, HOCO and MOCO are my first choices and from there I will decide..

Have to decide living sometime this summer, have a couple plans in mind, much depends on where I decide to work..

Only a month a few till graduation!! havnt really contemplated it with the job hunt continues.. my field just isnt as needed as some postions, which get contracts wait away because they need so many people..

I need UNC tomorrow to win so I can win the Howard County league!!

Long time now update, maybe ill continue with thing to give all my teaching friends who havnt started teaching yet an idea of how it goes.. right now I'll start with Softball

Heres who I have playing

Male~
Phil
Andrew
Justin
Ryan
Wes
(maybe Ian)

Gurls~
Lauren
Sandy
Erin
Kandy
Marissa
Pam
Becky
Bethany
Ashely

Who else am I forgetting? The games will be Mondays at 8 and begin the 28th. If you are playing GET A GLOVE.. if you have extra gloves, bring them please for people who are lacking for whateve reason.. This is our third year and year to shine!

High school teaching started today! Much different then the middle school I grew to love. Much faster paced. My teacher is freakin nutz. Its nice though that I can still sleep in the same as the middle school, thanks to having the first period off. Teaching 9th grade U.S. history, better then African Geography at the MS, though I did memorize all the countries. Bonner and Chelsea are at the school which is nice too!

Congrats to those who have gotten job offers, science interns, math, courtney.. stupid HOCO doesnt offer early contracts to SS majors, the other fields are limited so they offer them much more.. I have 3 offers so far but not from counties that reallly peak my interest. Frederick, Calvert, MOCO and HOCO are on the top of my list.. see how that goes next month or two..

I'll try and update this more often!

Back to school again..

Spent the week before school started just preparing at the school in order to see how "teachers work" before the school year actually beings.. This is professional talk for helping the teachers set up bullietn boards and lesson plans.. It wasnt too bad but it was a lot of driving to many different schools and getting up early everyday for a week.. That Friday though we did go out for a drink, though it was at 1 in the afternoon

School started and I have a random roomate since Mark decided to live at home.. It's like my 10th random roomate based on all the apts we have lived in but it all seems to be working out pretty well..

Last night was a party at Lisa's pad and the ole UMBC fellers decided to show up.. Good times seein Kev/Dave and everyone again its been a while.. Tough throwing together 20+ people in an apartment made for 2 people, but it worked out pretty well... Play some poker and of course i cleaned house haha.. John gave me a book im gonna read up on and see if it changes my strategy at all.. I can wait to head up to AC though I doubt I will sit at a TH table just for lack of funds to really play a good game.

Workin Event Staff this year cause i have no more obigations to be at home.. Workin the Ghetto concert this Friday featuring Twista/Jadakiss and others.. Last year we had a stabbing lets see what will pop up this year..

Speaking of obligations.. We are having our 3rd annual More Cowbell Flag Football team starting soon.. Pretty much the same people getting together again but we welcome new people who wish to join, especially athletic females.. The meeting is the 15th and I imagine games start the follow week.. I'm aiming for Wed night but Mon/Thur are also possible..

Finale- Were heading to the big Univ of Dele this Sat in order to watch Towson take on the National Champions.. So far there are a bunch of us who are going.. I think Myself, Ryan, Pam, Becky, Ali?, Justin, Lauren? and others.. Let me know if u want to go.. Tix have to be bought by Wed and you can get them for 10 bucks in the union but we want to all sit together if possible

Back from the Beach!

Headed up to the beach Sunday with Courtney to meet up at Mark's place with Melissa for some good beach/beer times.. We got up there around 2 and watched them finish up the place before we headed to the beach.. Hit up some body surfing before heading back ot the pad for dinner.. Mark made some margaritas and him his mom and I drank a few plus a few beers before dinner with Courtney and Melissa.. After dinner we drank a few more beers before heading to Tequila Margarita..

Tequila Margarita had some nice Margaritas, mark and I got some strong ones while the girls went the girly way with the good tasting ones.. We then kept walking to the Green Turtle which was a couple miles down the road... There we threw back some more beers and headed back to the house.. On the way back Mark decided to take a "shortcut" which ended up being a few mile walk out of the way, the normal way being like 5 mins away.. After 2 more hours of walking around the Bay we got back to the place drunk and exhausted..

Mon night we hit up the beach then BJ's and the boardwalk with Justin and Lauren who were in OC for a few days.. Found out that Mark got screwed over by Towson so we had to leave early the next day instead of Wed so we couldnt go out and drink with Justin and Lauren..

Headed back home Wed and chilled at Courtney's and got my ass handed to me by her and her family in poker and golf! though I didnt try my best :-0.. Played too agressive grrrrr.. Today just chilled.. its a month since my mom died so wasnt in a huge mood to go out..
Hola from Olney

This is my last week of work!.. Its been the longest summer of my life yet so much of it seems to have gone by so quick and I have so many people to thank for that, for those who have been there for me through my moms death and for those who set aside time just to talk and anythign else.. This summer has made me realize alot of things and in essence grow up alot..

There is so many people I need to thank individually though it is near impossible to thank everyoen of you and to attempt to thank everyone i run the risk of leaving people out,

This is my last week of work, it gives me a couple weeks after that to relax and get everything straightened out before heading back to school. I have to get there a week early for education which is why its only really 2 weeks till i start school.. In the meantime aftre im done with work I hope to be able to relax and chill with a bunch of people who in one way or another I have been unable to hang out with as much this summer.. I want to go to the beach so bad and have had offers to go but freakin work gets in the way.. I know that the week of the 10th I am def going to do something.. I have been wanting to go to Ohio so bad to see the TRIBE play during their world series season so I'm thinking about dragging Courtney along ot the great state of Ohio..

The following weekend after that Is Lisa's grandfathers 85th Bday so I am really looking forward to goin to NY and being able to thank everyoen individually for all their cards and flowers, after that I think the family and I might head to Williamsburg in an attempt to have a traditional family outing, one in which we havnt had in a while..

I'm actually really looking forward to getting back to school and seeing everyone..this summer has been so busy with everythign that I really havnt been able to hang out with the guys who I have spent the past 4 years going out and chilin with.. Also lookin forward to getting the traditonal MOre Cowbell team back together again with a few new people hopefully.. This is the last time we get to all do this for those who are graduating including myeslf so this year I have decided to set some team goals

1) We will score more then 1 td in a game
2) We will score more then 1 td
3) We will attempt to not get into any fights (might not take this one seriously)
4) We will have team uniforms, no matter if they consit of just skin
5) A girl will throw a complete pass

~using these goals I feel we can have a good season.. notice what i did not include, WINNING A GAME.. I just think our tradition of losing every game is more fun then winning, as winning takes away from softball

That all said give me a call or leave me a message if anyone is intrested in doing anythign or going anywhere... I want to go to AC so bad but i need to save up my money for when im student teaching.. arg!

Once again its been a long time since I updated my journal..

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it to the wake a week or so ago.. So many people turned up here and none of them were family, it was pretty amazing.. We then flew to Michigan the following day for the funeral.. We had another viewing on Friday and then Saturday morning was the Funeral. She was buried in Michigan because that is where her entire family is... It was a tough choice to make, I would have rather had my mom layed here but its whats best for the entire family..

Everything went very well.. it was nice to see my entire family again, especially my goddaughther.. Returning to the house Saturday night was something very differnt..

Everything seems so empty around here.. She was sick for 7 months and for those 7 months everything revolved around her.. I was so used to getting home from work and just sitting around the house with her so to come home to no one is real hard.. The nights are real hard also.. We are doing our best to fix up the house, as we never really had a chance to before mom was in the hospital as we had just moved in.. We received so many flowers that we turned the place into a greenhouse.. It looks real nice and smells even better..

I've been trying to keep myself busy, I took a week off from work in order to relax and went back this Monday.. Cass Courtney and I went bowling the other night.. It was real fun getting beaten by my crooked arm sister and wet butted Courtney.. Saturday we went to the Orioles game which was pretty fun even though Courtney broke the law.. Sunday Courtney's mom invited me over for a good Italian dinner which was really good, first time I had home cooking in a while.. We then proceeded to attend what seemed like a Southern Baptist mass, as it was around 2 hours long.. I then did my best to avoid work the next day but failed

I think they hardest part of it all is being around my friends and seeing their families.. I dont know how people who have lost their parents or never had any can do it.. I helped my friend move and it was real tough, just reminded me of somethings which will never be the same.. Theres alot I want to say but I will save it for a later time when I figure out how to say it best..

I'm done working in 8 work days then I have a couple weeks off before we head back to school for my 2nd final year.. I'm ready to just head back and get as busy as possible.. I have to complete my portfolio this year so I'm hoping to be able to put as much into it as possible through more volunteer work and various school activites.. I'm hoping to switch to student teach at Howard Co. schools so I can make fun of red headed spanish teachers and kids who drive pickup trucks...

Thank you everyoen for your messages and kind words.. they will not be forgotten.. I wanted to let you know what happened with my mom because I know people have been asking about the legal issues i mentioned.. I dont want them to overshadow my mom at all, its just an amazing story, almost unbelievable

she died today at the age of 43 of lung cancer.. thanks to everyone for their support.. she lasted an entire week after so many misdaignoses..

We are actually going ot persue legal means in order to find out who made mistakes... Its a real complicated story but also unbelievable.. My mom was having headaches over a year ago and they, the HMO Kaiser, gave her pills for headaches and never bothered to do a family history.. If they would have then they would have found out that her father and both uncles on her fathers side died of cancer and at the same time her brother had cancer... My mom went by the doctors advice, never questioning it.. Later on as she couldnt eat in Sept and was having more headaches they simply attributed in to menopause.. Come thanksgiving her left had was numb and she couldnt move it.. They gave her a stress test and attributed it to carpal tunnel... She wanted them to do an MRI but they said it was expesnive and that through physical therapy it would heal up in a few weeks.. As the week went on her entire arm went numb but they refused to do anything else.. Finally a few weeks later in late Jan. when collapsed and when they took her to the hospital she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the lungs, which had spread to her brain causing her not to be able to use her arm.. This apparently had been going on for sometime and was the reason for her headaches...

They immedaitly, the HMO, put her on radiation for her brain in order to fight the tumor.. She was given 6 months to 2 years to live and was told this by the HMO case manager when my mom was alone in her room and drugged up on morphine.. Later on they decided to also fight the cancer and pushed forward with chemo.. Now they were doing full blasts of radation to her head and chest along with full dosage of chemo.. She immedailty lost 20lbs in 2 weeks because of this.. when we took her to the hosptial for a 2nd opinion they could not believe she was recieving that much radiation and believed that it was actually killing her.. Hearing this we stopped the chemo but it was too late, a week later she caught pnemonia, last saturday, and was put in the hospital..

As she was in the hospital, the doctors came up to my father and told him that he needed to make an immediate decision, between putting a tube down her throat or an oxygen mask.. These were the HMO doctors who told my father he had roughly 5 mins to make the decision because the doctor had to go elsewhere.. My father choose the mask so she was able to communicate, on the recommedations of the Kaiser HMO.. After a day on the mask we were told she had only hours to live because of the advanced cancer and that they were going to stop treatment on the pnemoniua because it was worthless... The days went on and they gave her oxygen, no one could belive that she was still alive.. They stopped giving her fluids and medicine for the radiation and decided it was no longer necessary to feed her..

As the week went on they took her vitals and EVERYTIME they did the vitals they were compelty normal as yours and mine except for the low oxygen level in her blood.. Later on the week the lung specialist in the hospital came over and told us that he could not believe she was still doing as well as she was based on the HMO's test results.. The lung specialist told us that she should be dead by now based on their results.. he did a test and it revealed that she actually was diong good and they should have put a tube down her throat to fight the pnemonia, but since they had not feed her in a week or givin her any fluids, her body was wasting away..

She lost 25 lbs this week and finally died today.. The hospitial doctors informed us that we should persue legal means and we plan on doing this once everything is over... We want no money, just an apology for everything that was done wrong.. I dont even know if anything can be done based on the Supreme Court ruling on suing HMO's 2 weeks ago..

Thanks again for everyones support.. if you have any suggestions just let me know

ugh im peeling...

Its hard for me to tell if im actually getting a tan or not.. Skin is falling off my face like i have ebola or something, I'm hoping that a nice brown coat will reappear underneath this current fire truck red of mine.. I've been told that it actually takes more then one instance of goin out int he sun in order to get a tan.. I plan on proving that wrong... Tomorrow Rachel and I are going to hit up the tanning salon, a nice manly one with ESPN on the tv's and cigars inside the beds.. I have never been to one before but when i think of tannign salons I imagine a room full of naked people walking around wiht only those thingys you put over your eyes on, sipping martinis and listening to depeche mode.. my luck its going to be bunch of portly women with more toes then teeth...

Work is going alright if you consider me not being there now the highlite of my week.. I just sit down all day and work on the lawyer stuff, very redundant.. In the process i spend about at average 3 hours a day just trying to get reception on my over priced radio.. Its amazing that DC101 studio's, which is apx. 2/5 of a mile away from my work, comes in worse then a station in Fairfax VA.. Oh well, in the meantime I help out those who have jury duty.. it's amazing that some people request certain trials.. I had plenty of people to request murder trials in order to get out of work longer and when they find out there havn't been any murders lately, they attempt to argue that d.c. is part of Montgomery County.. I had one guy tell me he couldn't be on a jury cause his cat was pregant

2 more days till a 3 day weekend woohoo.. I want to see spiderman real bad but also the terminal.. I'm thinkin maybe the terminal would be a better idea, as less people would care to see it.. My bro and Justin both saw spiderman and said it was insanely nice.. I just hae to add The Village and Exorcist 3 to the list, along with some girly movies I wont mention, and my summer movies will be set..

Mom: She hasn't been doing very good lately.. She cannot eat and when she does she doesnt keep it for long.. Tonight they made a emergancy appointment to take her to get fluids because she can not really even walk without falling over.. She made her plans though that when she can finally eat she is going to have a medium pizza from pizza hut with the works and a bucket of french fries, I'm looking forward to picking those up for her..

Country music is my new fad..

move over bell bottoms, bowl haircuts, and oxycontin.. country music takes the cake..Rap gives you songs about solidres, but all their soldiers drive cars with spinning rims, country music soliders drive tanks.. Country stars drink liquor, rappers drink 40s... Where else can you hear songs entitled Whiskey Girl, Redneck Women.. and of course Save a Horse ride a cowboy.. WAR TOBY KEITH

Kev and I hit up the Kings Dominion on Sunday.. after getting up at the buttcrack of dawn we arrived when it opened and proceeded to notice a few growing trends.. 1) there was no one our age, everyone was either younger or older.. 2) everyone was either "manufactured home persons" or Baltimore City HS graduates, if you teach u know what i mean.. everyone had a chip on their shoulder also and I was cursed at a few times for "starin at my woman", who happened to be roughly 12 and he 25.. The park was pretty nice, not that many people there.. got the crap burnt out of me.. the newest ride, the Drop Zone, is def the best ride there.. it picks u up higher then the effiel tower they have there, roughly couple hundred feet and you then drop for abou 3 seconds..

Dont know if you watch Last comic standing or not but you need to check out Jim Norton.. guy is prob one of the top 5 funniest comedians out there.. he was on the show but was kicked off for various BS reasons, mostly becaues hes too "adult-like" for NBC

Some friends are I are going to hit up the big AC this summer.. Last summer i went and proceeded to lose $300 bucks on stupid unnecessary slots.. after getting butt raped by Donald Trump i realized slots have the worst winning percentage in the entire casino.. I've been playing a ton of blackjack which has one of the highest odds in the casinos.. craps and caribbean poker are supposed to have the best odds but i have no clue how to play either of them.. All i know is that in craps you have to roll and hit the back of the table or people throw drinks at you.. Let me know if you want to go, few of us going now but anyone can come... i'm looking at going up on a Sunday afternoon and staying for a couple days.. Hit up the beaches and everything plus during the week the blinds, which are how much it costs to play at the table, are at the lowest.. Last summer we went on a Sat. night for Dave's bday and the blinds for roulette, which coincidently has maybe the worst odds, were 15 bucks per spin.. I ran through 100 bucks in 4 mins, beat my previous time of 6 minutes by video poker

For all you Michael Moore ass kickers I present you with the truttthh.. this said I have no clue who im voting for, but im sick of this fat dude getting press for a movie he BS'es the entire way through and edited his way into making it look like turth

The Truth About 'Fahrenheit 9/11'
Monday, June 28, 2004

Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11" broke records this weekend, becoming the first documentary to debut as Hollywood's top weekend film but there are holes in the controversial film's story.

For instance, in one often-showed clip, Moore claims that President Bush was on vacation 42 percent of the time during his first several months in office but that estimation included weekends at Camp David, a common practice for presidents. Without those days figured in, Bush actually spent 13 percent of his time on vacation.

The movie also criticizes Bush for staying inside a Florida classroom full of kids for a full seven minutes after he learned that the country was under attack on Sept. 11, 2001.

However, the vice chairman of the Sept. 11 commission has said that Bush did the right thing. "Bush made the right decision in remaining calm, in not rushing out of the classroom," said Lee Hamilton, a former Democratic congressman from Indiana.

In "Fahrenheit 9/11" Moore also claims that the White House approved plans for planes to pick up relatives of Usama Bin Laden right after the attacks. But according to terrorism czar Richard Clarke he alone approved the Saudi flights.

In addition, Moore says that the departing Saudis were not properly processed by the FBI when leaving the country. That too is contradicted by the Sept. 11 commission, which said the Saudis were properly interviewed.

Finally, Moore shows prominent members of the Taliban visiting Texas, implying that they were invited by then-Governor Bush. The Taliban delegation, however, was invited to Houston by UNOCAL, a California energy company.

Moore also doesn't mention that the visit was made with the permission of the Clinton administration, which twice met with Taliban members in 1997 and 1998.

I'm gonna try and update this thing at least 3 times a week, per peoples wishes.. We are all moved in at Olney now

Time for my monthly update....

Havnt done too much lately.. Work is going pretty fast actually, fun workin with all those lawyers they are so exciting conversationlists.. its like talking politics with Corky..

Tuesday was my moms bday.. she turned 43, still pretty damn young if you ask me compared to some of my friends parents.. We all gave her nice gifts then she opened her gift from my dad. As soon as she opened it, before i knew what it was she was crying.. A long time ago she lost her engagement ring from my dad. In order to pay for this ring he sold a lot of his stuff as a kid including his golf clubs, which are like the holy chalice for him.. Well the ring he gave her was a copy of what she originally had, with just a bigger diamond.. I havnt seen my mom that happy in at least 6 months, its like she instantly forgot she was sick.. She jumped up and ran to my dad as fast as she could and thanked him.. While she was running to my father i looked around and my grandmother and neighbor were crying.. For a sec it was like she was healed and we were celebrating that...

Anywayz... We are starting to move on Friday.. We got a nice place right past Sequoyah Elem inear Cashell Elem in Olney.. We are gonna start moving in on Friday woohoo for hauling crap for 3 straight weeks.. I get to paint on Saturday though because the previous owners were lepercauns who painted the basement walls green to remind them of home..

Last Sat we went to Georgetown for Rachel's bday.. Apparently Kevin and I realized that we were the only ones allowed to drink and everyone else was on the 12 step program, so we took the indulgeness to drink enough for everyone.. I had this new beer called a Blue Moon, well new to me anyway, and it was actually pretty good.. Rich as Kevin spent his time drinkin 10 dollar Red Bull and Vodkas.. We went to a couple places, the first was a piano bar which was nice and then to a club which i dreaded though had fun.. Kevin played the role of male stripper by paying for everythign in 1 dollar bills, either that or he has a George Washington fetish.. We got back aruond 3 am and kev was too drunk to drink but not drunk enough to let me drive his car so rach gave us a ride back..

Now just sittin at home little sick bur ready for the weekend.. should be a good weekend, next week headin to NY for a wedding , which of couse is ON A SUNDAY NIGHT and the lovely couple made it BLACK TIME ONLY... grr only in long island...

143

Trying to do my student teaching in Howard County for a few reasons.. Looks like the fam is moing and getting a house in HOCO in Columbia, gettin out of this POS place after forever.. The place is real nice, huge deck and right on a lake in Columbia..

Been workin at the courthouse again this summer, I didnt really want to since its where my mom worked at before she got sick.. Everyoens real nice and everything but everday someoen asks hows shes doing and not to sound like a jerk but I just run out of things to say and I feel bad.. Courthouse is alright though, workin 7-330 so at lesat im not stuck there too late..

Speaking of mom: Shes alright, she has a new doctor now and they immediatly took her off the radiation. It was hurting her alot and leaving burn marks so I cant understand why they didnt stop earlier. She was also doing chemo at the same time which took a huge toll on her body.. She has trouble walking and when she eats I thinkt he radiation burned her stomach because shes ina lot of pain everytime she eats, but she is eating which is good.. She took chemo off this week because her fluids were low which required another fluid transplant.

Summer has been alright, havnt done much else, hung with Courtney a bunch which is good times and worked alot. Gonna prob head to Atlantic City sometime this summer for a night and hopefly to NY depending on how things are doing at home.

Freakin Indians blow.. people bringing them bad luck.. Bullpen just cant hold a freakin lead, the worse bullpen in baseball. If no shooty bullpen then we are tryign for first.. At least we dont spend all the money and loes like the O's haha.. I HATE THE TWINS AND SOX..

3 and 1/2 more months until the Eagles dominate all your teams, as well as I dominate your children in the schoolz.. 9 months until i team them whatever I want and all my opinions muwahah

I went up to my geography teacher the other day and was like, i got a B in this class, the final wont give me a A and no way would i get a C so can i just not take it.. so he said yeah actually and told me not ot bother coming to class anymore since it was a gened.. nicccceeee Have like 30 pages of other BS due next week but its not hard

Tryin to hit up Preakness next weekend to stare at horses... myf riends got a bus going for 10 bucks there then I think its 35 bucks to get in but its supposed to be good times so im hopin some other peoples want to go..

This summer im gonna be residin back in MOCO though probably not at my house cause my grandmothers stayin in my room... I think im gonna be crashin at my dads friends house which is cool, pretty much my own place.. We are tryin to move to HOCo by the end of summer, maybe Columbia.. I have a feelin I'll be back at the courthouse this summer which isnt awful but I was hoping to get that job downtown, which i think i did but i wouldnt find out for 3 weeks so i should just go ahead and take the courthouse one.

Any of you kids ever play Spades.. we played it last week and it was actually pretty fun.. we normally play Holdem but Spades was somethin different.. let me know if your downt to play

Moms doing alright, today is her last day of radiation and she only has a few more weeks of chemo left.. i cant wait till shes done with that because all it does is wear her out and make her constantly tired, which I'm afraid might cause her to lose some hope.. I think a nice summer off chemo and raidaiton will help

This week mom has 2 bags of chemo and next week just one.. No word yet on how everythign is going, Ill keep you all updated as soon as I find out... Thank you for your concerns and prayers...

Spring Break- I didnt do to much this break, no money and wanted to stick around home.. glad the guys and girls had a great time in the Bahamas and Mexico.. Next year of course i wont be goin anywhere again because my schedule is based on BCPS schedule so when the HS is on spring break thats when I am and it never matches Towson's... I went home last Sunday and hung aruond with the moms and the rest of the family.. Monday took moms to get her blood test and Tuesday to the dentist.. Nothign real exciting though i did finish the book The Last Juror which I would highly recommend.. Wednesday I came back up to school to finish up some work and ended up going to the rec room for some dollar beers with Mark and his gf...

After the dollar beers i headed over to Lori and Johns for some poker.. no money gladley as Lori took us to town the first hand, though I did manage to pull out the second before I bounced around 3..

Thursday just relaxed and did some work and saw Dawn of the Dead with Bobby Dave and Chris.. good movie kinda like 28 days later and Cabin Fever mixed together..

Friday went and grabbed a bite to eat at Fridays with Chris then headed over to Lori and Johns to play some more poker along with Justin and drink some beers.. Got my ass handed to me by Lori then watched her and Justin go at it for about 2/3 hours until we started up another game, which I ended up going out to John with just me and him left.. this time I did walk away minus dollars but good times..

Saturday I headed home again to hang with the moms and get some home cooked dinner, which of course turned out to be Ledos and Cluck U.. which by the way there is a Cluck U in Germantown now.. Of course since i gave up meat for Lent I was able to have a big meal of cheese pizza...

Sunday just came back and chilled, kicked Coulson's ass in some Madden, gettint he belt back.. then watched Sopranos and Deadwood while hanging with a freshly tanned Lisa back from her trip to Mehico

Oops havn't updated in a while.. for those I havnt talked to I thought I would let people know whats going on..

Mom finished radiation last Tuesday and started chemo on Thursday.. . We wont know the results of the radiation until two months or so they told us.. we are just hoping that she is feeling better because she seems to be moving her arm much better.. the tumors were pressing on the back of her head where the neurons are for her head but were hoping they have shrunker or been removed completly.... chemo hasnt been to bad for her so far but her hair was falling out so we took her to the barber and they cut the rest off.. it was a shock to see her without hair and she was upset by it, i have to believe most women would be as it is something that is important to them..

mom has chemo again this thursday, they are supposed to use a smaller bag of chemo because the radiation is just too much to do it so often.. she is supposed to go 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off but we shall see how her body reacts to it....

in other news the guys and I have been going to Howl at the Moon lately because we have been givin the hook up on cheap drinks and free admission. We went last night with lisa and her sister and husband and coulson and kev.. good times though we didnt get free stuff lsat night so we didnt stay as long or drink as much....

Doesnt look like im going to spring break this semester, money stuff combined with mom keeps me from going though my mom is almost forcing me to go i have to keep telling her i cant afford it.

Started teaching last thursday at a school called Golden Ring.. It wasnt to bad, turns out 10% of the school is suspended each month but the kids overall dont seem to bad.. just lots of them with single parent homes that live in poverty.. if i can teach her i can teach anywhere... I was also asked to do some stuff with some people concerning a adminstator (principal) internship so I plan on looking into that soon. I also got accepted to a couple honors educ things but the dues are so high i might wait on them...

Thanks everyone again for the support and the cards.. last weekend a good friend of mine's father died and kinda made me take a step back and realize that death surrounds us all.. the death couldnt have happened to a nicer woman either and makes me realize that these things happen to everyone though most of time the people are often the kindest people who have it happen to them...

yooooooooooo

Figured I should update, havnt done it in a while.. Not to much new with mom.. she starts chemo next Thursday.. apparently the radiation results wont be available for 2 months, not 2 weeks like we hoped.. Shes feeling alright just really tired.. thanks again for all your support..

Lisa and I went to a place called the Bronze Elephant which had great food.. It was one of those real classy places with vallet parking (didnt want to park the beretta so i parked around the corner) They also took off Lisas coat, called her mam, and like any proper Italian place only addressed the male while talking to us as a couple.. We had some weird appetizer, had no clue what it was.. Then had a salad with anchovies which was pretty damn good.. My meal was a weird spicy marinara pasta with crab meat and shrimp.. and for dinner we had some weird pear stuff that was actualy real good..

I found a nice website dedicated to Kevin McTague if you guys know him... check out some of the pictures dedicated to him from the site... excuse the language i didnt do it..

SHE BANGS! SHE BANGS!

Not to much to update concerning mom.. shes just been real tired from the radiation. I dont think she is going to start chemo until after the radiation is over in a week and half.. My EDUC teacher is such a cool guy.. I told him that my mom was sick and that there might be days i have to leave class early and he sent me this email stating that his wife is going through breast cancer and anythign i need i can just go to him and take as much time apart as i wish.

I think im going to go home on Friday afternoon and come back either Sat. night or Sun. afternoon. As long as my mom is feeling ok I dont mind not staying there for the whole weekend, but once she is tired from chemo i want to help around the house and stuff.

nm else going on besides that.. quit event staff which frees up my weekend once again :).. just passed my 3 year anniversary with Lisa and let me tell you, shes amazing.. She is really there for me and sometimes I feel embarresed calling her up and crying but it doesnt bother her..

Thanks to everyone again whos helping out and being real understanding and supportive and listening to me talk.. Just know that if you ever have any problems you come to me first and I will stand up for you like you did for me.. that pretty much goes to everyone whos reading this..

I'm sorry if it gets boring just reading about my family stuf.. I want to keep this journal updated but i really dont have any new information besides family stuff.. On M and W i work and have class from 830-700 and then i eat so i dont realy get back to the room till 8 where i just do homework, watch family guy and go to bed.. Tuesdays is pretty much the same.. My only fre time is Thursday night which i go home alot now and the weekends im home, usually helping out or doing work..

I dont really want to drink right now for a while because i dont want their to be a night when im drunk and then i have to turn around and go home for some emergency.. I have 100% faith that my mom will make it through this, the chemo will work, she will go into remission and then everything will be fine.. When that day happens i will not stop partying for a week..

We did have a great superbowl party though.. The guys did an insane job at setting it all up.. over 200 bucks in just food.. a keg.. a homemade iceluge which was pretty insane.. we had about 30 people over and it was good stuff.. too bad the freakin eagles couldnt make it in it... The guys here in the apt are some friends you could only hope for.. they picked up on everythign when i was gone and are doing everything they can to help me out.. I hope I can go on spring break with them but I highly doubt it.. just have to see how moms feeling..
